We owe this scrumptious little number to our wine maker friend, Dai Crisp, who came back from a trip to New York excited about a " lamb burger with pesto and feta cheese that would make the perfect pasty!". Boy do we agree. And paired with a Lumos Pinot Noir...Fuhgeddaboudit!

To take the deliciousness to the next level, the steak is marinated in Ninkasi Oatis Stout. Our neighbors, and favorite brewers, Ninkasi makes amazing beer! They serve our steak and ale pasty (and other flavors) in their tasting room. There is just something special about a pasty and a pint!

Do you crave beef and only buy local, hormone and antibiotic free meats? You're in good company with Cousin Jack's! Our beef comes from the fantastic folks at Knee Deep Cattle Company in Coburg. Their cows are grass grazed and Certified Humane raised and handled which means they are never stuck in feedlots and are not given hormones or antibiotics. We wrap the beefy goodness in our delicious pasty crust with just enough Vintage Cheddar and organic potatoes, turnips and onions to take it to the next level. Thank goodness for local meat! And thank goodness for good pasties!
